iNEST Meet&Drink - how to transform your research into a business idea. Wednesday 17th January at 3:30pm

We are pleased to invite you to iNEST Meet&Drink, a networking session followed by an aperitif!

There you will be able to discover how to turn your innovative ideas into projects or activities that could improve wealth and sustainability in North-Eastern Italy with the aid of iNEST Cross-Cutting Activity 1 (CC1).

iNEST Meet&Drink will take place in SISSA on Wednesday 17th January 2024 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Big Meeting Room on the 7th floor

You will have the chance to meet:

  • some iNEST and CC1 representatives, such as Prof. Gianluigi Rozza, Prof. Giovanni Noselli, Prof. Carlo Bagnoli, and Prof. Andrea Marella;
  • the founders of the latest 2 SISSA start-ups: Fast Computing srl and Materys srl.

After some brief presentations, the conversation will continue over a networking happy hour, with drinks offered by SISSA’s bar.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

What are iNEST and CC1?

iNEST is a brand-new paradigm for an Innovation Ecosystem, aimed at developing technologies and disseminating culture to improve the wealth of North-Eastern Italian citizens. It is funded by the NextGenerationEU Program, together with the Italian Ministry of University and Research and the ItaliaDomani program.

Specifically, the goal of Cross-Cutting Activity 1 (CC1) is to transform brilliant research ideas by doctoral students and researchers into great entrepreneurial projects. You can try to submit your idea by applying for the Call for Exploring Ideas, which will be open until 15th February 2024. The 20 best ideas will be selected and turned into start-up projects. But there is a twist: the newborn selected start-ups will be assisted for free during the first part of their growth!

If you are interested in participating in the call and in particular if your business idea is based on a research result developed within your research activities, do not forget to formally notify the Valorisation and Innovation Office which will provide you with all the information and necessary instructions concerning its protection (if possible) and formal internal disclosure.
