The first Hackathon organized by SYNLAB, in collaboration with EIT Health (European Institute of Innovation & Technology), Cariplo Factory and Lendlease, at the Milano Innovation District (MIND) will be held on November 2-3-4.

The event will involve about 80 brilliant university students, aged between 20 and 25, with the dual objective of promoting the culture of innovation in the Healthcare sector and offering a valuable opportunity for training.

Together with your team, you can compete with two fascinating challenges on the theme of the "value of data culture":

  • The first, entitled "The value of data for the health of people", will invite to imagine how to improve the lifestyle and well-being of people, how to prevent the onset of pathologies and disorders, how to diagnose diseases promptly and prescribe the best paths of treatment, how to make the experience of patients within healthcare facilities more efficient.
  • The second, entitled "The value of data in the adoption of new technologies in the healthcare sector", will involve the development of solutions to facilitate the collection, analysis and interpretation of health information through the use of new technologies (ex: Immersive Experience, Data Analytics, AI, Machine Learning, etc.).

Supported by mentors, and using an innovative design thinking approach, you can demonstrate together with your team and with concrete solutions such as health data, thanks to new technologies, can improve people’s lifestyle, well-being and health.

Accenture, Amazon AWS, McKinsey & Company, Roche, Astrazeneca, Novartis are just some of the digital and healthcare players you’ll get to know during the event.

In addition to Milan, the I-Days will involve 24 other European cities that will decide in turn their winning groups, then called to participate in a final contest that will reward the most innovative and interesting proposal at the euro level.
